RESPONSIBLE HOSPITALITY

Mercure Hai Phong - Supporting a Greener Planet, One Stay at a Time

At Mercure Hai Phong, we believe a great stay should offer more than comfort - it should also make a positive impact on the planet. That is why we are implementing a wide range of practical initiatives to reduce our environmental footprint and promote sustainable hospitality in everything we do.

What We Are Doing to Protect the Environment and Support the Community

  • Saving Resources & Reduce Emissions: We manage energy and water use responsibly and select eco-labelled materials and cleaning products wherever possible. Our carbon footprint programme helps us assess environmental impact and continuously improve resource efficiency.
  • Responsible Waste Management: Waste is sorted at source to support effective recycling, while hazardous materials are handled. stored and disposed of in accordance with strict environmental and safety regulations.
  • Reducing Plastic & Food Waste: We are committed to phasing out single-use plastics and actively managing food waste in our kitchens to minimize unnecessary disposal and reduce overall environmental impact.
  • Sustainable & Humane Food Choices: Our culinary approach prioritizes organic, locally sourced and eco-labelled ingredients, alongside the use of cage-free eggs, to support responsible and humane food production.
  • Clean & Smoke-Free Spaces: All public areas are smoke-free, and the majority of our guest rooms are designated as non-smoking to ensure cleaner indoor air and a healthier environment for guests.
  • Community Engagement & Green Living: We support child protection through WATCH, AccorHotels's Child Protection Programme, encourage low-impact ways of exploring the city, and share green travel recommendations that highlight nature and local culture.
